Recycling personal absorbent products (PAP), such as baby diapers, represents a significant challenge, but not an insurmountable one: in Italy, in fact, numerous facilities dedicated to this type of waste are already operating. Moreover, Italian citizens are willing to pay up to 50% more per pack for diapers if this ensures proper recycling. This is according to a market research study commissioned by Legambiente and carried out by the international Mizzuori Institute, with the support of i-Foria (a company specializing in the recycling of absorbent products) and several PNRR contracting authorities.
